Delivery

Standard delivery will dispatch within 1 working days of the order being placed, and shipping using the Tracked48 service with Royal Mail. 

Express Delivery will dispatch within 1 working day using the Tracked24 service with Royal Mail. This option costs £3.95.

Please double check your delivery address is correct to ensure your parcel is delivered to the right address. This option costs £5.05.

EU delivery – We have been advised that you shouldn’t be applicable for further customs fees if the order is less than £135, however this is beyond our control – and we apologise if you do have to pay further for your parcel.

Returns

We hope you are completely happy with your purchase but if you are not satisfied and would like to talk about returns, please feel free to contact us on hello@theoldhorizon.com and we can discuss the issue and come to an agreement on how best to address it.

In the unlikely event that there is a fault with the product, it needs to be returned for inspection in its original condition, with all the original labels, packaging and proof of purchase within 14 days of receipt. If the goods do not reach us in this condition then your right to a full refund may be affected. Postage will only be refunded if the item is found to be faulty, otherwise the cost of returning the goods will be at your own expense. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If required, please contact us for the return address stating the issue and when and where the product was purchased. Please notify us within 7 days of receipt if you are unsatisfied with your product for any reason.

Unused yarn that has been sent as part of a knit kit is also non-refundable.

Our hand made items will not be accepted for refund due to a change of mind or lack of care. Please pay careful attention to the care instructions.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on pdf patterns, sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

If you change your mind about your kit or your yarn, or you are gifted something you would like to replace we are happy to do so, as long as it is completely unused. Please return in its original condition and let us know what you would like it swapped for.

Please be aware that you are responsible for the postage charges on sending orders back to us (as above), and we will also invoice you the postage fee of £3.95 for sending an exchange out. If payment is not made for the replacement item postage we are unable to send it.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
