Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern in DK Yarn
Welcome a new baby into the world with the Angus Baby Blanket. This textured blanket is perfect for the intermediate knitter or even an ambitious, more experienced beginner knitter.
The baby blanket is perfect for both baby boys and girls. It can also be used as a baby shawl or pram blanket.
The knitted blanket features eyelets, bobbles and trellis patterns. Don’t be intimidated by any stitches you’ve not done before as all of the three featured stitches used in the blanket come with video guides to accompany the written pdf instructions.
Size: The pattern creates a finished blanket of approximately 70 x 71cm / 27.5 x 28in.
Yarn: DK Yarn
Knitted with 4 x 50g balls of Paintbox Baby DK on a 4mm circular needle (80cm length). Photographed in the colour Champagne White.
Other yarns that could be used to produce the same gauge include, Sirdar Snuggly DK, Stylecraft Special DK or any of our hand dyed DK yarns.
Gauge: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10cm in stockinette stitch on 4mm (US 6) needles
Suggested Needles: 4mm / US 6 circular needle at least 80cm/24in long. The blanket is knitted straight on circular needles.
